Public Notice:

Lee Highway County will be starting to Stripe roads with traffic paint during the next several weeks!

NOTE:   Please be aware of the fresh traffic paint!

Also --- Please do not drive in the fresh Paint!

If you do accidentally drive in the wet Traffic Paint –

-- here are some procedures for removing paint from vehicles:

As soon as possible (immediately) pressure wash your vehicle.

If pressure washing does not remove the paint, allow the water to dry off the vehicle.

Then spray the traffic paint residue with WD-40 and allow the WD-40 to stay on the area for 2 hours,

then rewash the area with a pressure washer.

For heavy accumulations or paint that has dried for several days, apply a liberal coating of Vaseline petroleum jelly to the dried paint and allow it to stay on vehicle overnight. Then pressure wash off the area.

This should remove most of the traffic paint – if not repeat the procedure.

Do not scrub the vehicle’s finish with a solvent or scouring cleanser !!! ---

--- This will damage the vehicle’s finish.
